Mission & Philosophy

Founded by York (ME) High School varsity baseball coach Chuck Chadbourne, Coastal Riptide concentrates on skill development, 

mental preparedness, physical conditioning, and teamwork.

Working exclusively with players from U8 through U17, Coastal Riptide fields a limited number of teams to ensure the highest quality player experience. Our staff is focused and our coach to player ratio is the best on the Seacoast.

We believe town programs are an important part of each player’s baseball and softball experience and collaborate closely with these organizations to ensure both work in concert to support player success.

Our purpose is preparedness for competitive high school play and to develop players who thrive on and off the field – fostering a lifelong love of the game.
