"If you are looking for a baseball training program this is it. The Coastal Riptide program is top notch, Coach Chadbourne and his staff of coaches have expert knowledge of the sport and apply a hands on, one on one approach with every player. Jana Doughty works tirelessly on making sure all of the teams get to play plenty of games to hone their skills. Jana also makes sure every player looks like a million bucks with her attention to detail and killer apparel package from Under Armour. My son has been part of this program since it’s inception in 2017 and loves it.......I highly recommend this program.”

"Coastal Riptide took a chance on a green newbie and morphed him into a baseball loving kiddo who's actually quite good! He loves it! And he made All Stars!"
"I am so proud of the organization my son plays for. I'm proud of our coach. Coach Jon is an amazing positive guy. The way he coaches these kids is unbelievable and our kids were so positive today, they never got down on themselves, constantly cheering each other on, they weren't negative. It was so great to watch! You guys are running an amazing organization! I'm pretty impressed. Great group of kids, great coach and they are having a blast!"
"Being our first year in a travel club I did not know what to expect, but my expectations were blown away by the level of training my son received, and the overall team positivity, hard work, and sportsmanship that is being taught, and instilled in these young men! We are very impressed!"
"After 2 full days of camp, I just want to say that the coaching and instruction that you provide is phenomenal. We have worked with other baseball organizations in the past and the experience with CR is far better than anything we ever got in the past. The coaches are fun and personable and are truly there to pass on their love of baseball. Thank you!"
"My son's experience as a member of the Coastal Riptide organization was exceptional in every way that can be measured.
First, as we were promised, the greatest emphasis was on instruction and development, and it started early when the practices were indoors. Fundamentals were stressed, and never compromised. Second, techniques were used that I have tremendous respect for…" Teach, don't tell"...every time the team was spoken to, and / or my son was pulled aside as the season went on, it was ALWAYS used as a teaching moment, and NEVER a stern message to do it a different way, without the explanation a young ballplayer is looking for. "Praise publicly, criticize privately"...the coaches ALWAYS recognized, in front of the team, when a player was doing what was being taught, and especially when it brought productive results. When a player needed to be talked to, about effort, lack of focus, forgetting fundamentals, etc., it was always done 1 on 1, off to the side. The message was heard, my son assured me, but there was never any embarrassment in front of teammates. Finally, my son had fun...he ran out the door to practice and play games, and this was a direct result of the culture built by the leadership of Coastal Riptide. This club is for kids who love baseball, because it is run by coaches who love baseball.”

"Our son made huge strides this year. He has made huge improvements both offensively and defensively. Most importantly, his confidence has improved immensely - he is having a blast playing. He rushes home to practice after doubleheaders and we have to shut him down to rest. This is a testament to the quality of the coaches these boys have. Coach Hale and Coach Whitten are doing a great job connecting with the boys and we are so glad that our son is playing for them."
"We may be new to travel softball but we have a ton of experience with youth sports and competitive sports teams. We had a tournament this weekend, the competition was good the girls seem to have fun and learned a lot. These girls still have a lot to learn and they will based on what we saw this weekend. But for me I’m looking at other things besides the score. My husband and I firmly believe that the success of an organization is not necessarily based on the number of trophies but on the return rate & commitment from season to season. Our coaching staff is pretty much the dream team. They are positive funny warm kind and treat everyone of those girls like they are their own. They know their stuff and they want results. They set high expectations and they want those expectations met. They are all business and keep those girls focused. They are teaching and coaching consistently throughout the game. They clearly know their stuff and each coach has their own area of expertise and Eddie lets his coaches do their job. There were times throughout the game that the girls were getting knocked around and getting hurt and CR coaches put those girls and their health/safety/best interest first. Those coaches have earned those girls trust and those girls know that those coaches are not going to let anybody mess with them. I think you know us well enough to know that we also look at youth sports differently than a lot of people. We pay the time & money because we want the competition and we want the higher skill set. And we believe that our daughter can meet that. But at the end of the day it is not going to do her any good if she’s not on a team like I just described to you.”
