Chuck Chadbourne

Coach Chadbourne has been the York High School Varsity baseball coach for the past seven years, guiding the Wildcats to their first ever State Championship in 2013. The Wildcats have been a perennial playoff contender and his teams compiled a 89-34 record over the past seven seasons. Prior to his current position, Coach Chadbourne was the head varsity baseball coach at Wells High School, building a program that reached the playoffs in six of his seven years at the helm. Coach Chadbourne played his college baseball at the University of Southern Maine. A left handed pitcher, Coach Chadbourne enjoyed a successful career and still holds several career pitching records at USM. Coach Chadbourne was inducted in the USM Baseball Hall of Fame in 1998. Coach Chadbourne is the founder of the Saco Bay PT Legion program as well as the York Wildcat Summer Baseball Programs.

Jana Doughty

Director of Operations

Jana overseas the day to day operations of Coastal Riptide and the growth of its club members. Coastal Riptide's new indoor facility, as well as player access as a club member, are just a few of her accomplishments this past year. Scheduling, coach communication, parent communication and retail distribution add to the numerous day to day activities Jana overseas. Along with her Coastal Riptide duties, Jana continues her relationship with her hometown team the York High School Wildcat baseball program where she is a key member of the Wildcat Summer Baseball program. Jana’s ability to negotiate apparel and gear contracts have parlayed into a beneficial relationship for both the York High School baseball program and the Coastal Riptide club. Jana is currently overseeing the expansion program of Coastal Riptide and its building of a new training facility in Wells, Maine.

Coach B joins the Riptide staff after a very successful 25 years of varsity baseball experience. Guiding the Spartans, Coach achieved the ultimate success by capturing the State Championship in 2002. The Spartan teams under Coach’s tutelage were perennial playoff contenders and competed in 4 Western Maine Championships and 2 State Championships. During this time Coach also was a leader in youth development in the Sanford/Springvale Little League coaching several teams and offering assistance to multiple all-star teams. Coach Boissonneault lives and teaches math in Sanford with his wife Stephanie and 4 children Molly, Sara, Brady, and Andrew.

Jon Stimmell

A committed youth baseball enthusiast, Coach Stim has committed 15 years to his love of youth sports; baseball, soccer and basketball. Coach provides excellent instruction for his young players with his calm demeanor and his attention to detail. Always looking for learning opportunities Coach Stim can often be found at local clinics and camps in the York County area. A member of the Sanford/Springvale Little League baseball/softball board Coach Stim is highly regarded as a solid youth teacher. A graduate of Coe-Brown Northwood Academy where he participated in varsity baseball, Coach then went on to graduate from Plymouth state college. Coach Stim is married with two children and a dog, George.

Adam Hale

Coach Hale is a graduate of Noble High School where he competed at the varsity level in golf, wrestling and baseball. A three-year varsity baseball starter, captaining the team his senior year. Coach Hale developed his love for baseball. A passion that followed him to the University of Southern Maine. Renowned as a strong teacher of the fundamentals of baseball, Coach Hale has been involved in several levels of the youth baseball circuit in the Lebanon, ME area. Coach began a successful 16 years of High School baseball duties at Traip Academy and currently at his alma mater, the Noble Knights, where he is now entering his ninth year as head coach. Coach Hale has seen the rebuilding process come to fruition with his Knights making two straight trips to the Class A playoffs and posting a .500 record for the first time in thirteen years. Adam resides in Lebanon, ME with his wife, Lauren and their son, Alec and daughter, Erin.

Scott Orlando

A native of South Berwick, Maine where his passion for baseball started at an early age. Coach “O” is very familiar with the travel ball circuit as he was a youth participant in the highly regarded New England Mariners; an organization that travelled nationally to represent talent from the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. A catcher by trade, Coach “O” started all 4 years at highly regarded Marshwood high school in the catching position. Representing Maine in the all-star game his senior season. Coach went on to play collegiately for Division III power USM Huskies, where he enjoyed a successful career. Coach “O” transitioned his love of the sport to coaching youth baseball for the Noble School District, where he enjoys teaching kids the fundamentals of the game while keeping it fun. Coach Orlando currently resides in Lebanon, ME with his Tabbitha, and their two children, Owen and Tenley.

Shawn Descoteaux

Coach Descoteaux has been a fixture in the baseball scene in Biddeford for the past 23 years. Regarded as a top teacher Coach Descoteaux has helped develop many players that have gone on to experience success at the varsity level and beyond. A catching coach by position Coach Descoteaux has been a fixture with the Biddeford High School varsity baseball program for the past 16 years. Coach also took over the Club baseball program at the University of New England and helped build that program over the past eight years seeing his Nor'Easters reach the playoffs three out of the last four years. Shawn currently works for the University of New England and lives in Biddeford with his wife and 3 children.

Coach Cone joins the Coastal Riptide staff after a successful career at Div II Saint Michaels College in Vermont. Coach Cone played middle infield for his entire baseball career. A York High School graduate, Coach Cone was a key component in the successful run for the Wildcats in capturing the 2013 Class B, Maine State Championship team. Coach Cone currently resides in York and works for KeyBank as a Licensed Banker in Saco, ME.

Nick Hanlon

Nick is a 2004 graduate of Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, MA where he played varsity soccer, basketball, and baseball. During his senior season at Cushing he was named as an All-Central New England Prep School League pitcher. Following high school he focused on soccer, playing on a collegiate level at Gordon College, where he was three-time all-conference defender as well as a captain for two years. Nick is now a social studies teacher at York High School in York, ME. In addition to teaching, he serves as the York High School Baseball’s Associate Head Coach, working with middle infielders. He is also now entering his fifth year as a coach of the Saco Bay Physical Therapy Summer Baseball team, which plays its home games in York. Nick currently resides in Somersworth, NH with his wife, Hannah, and their two children.
